The first national conference aimed at community midwives will take place on 14 April in Doncaster, supported by the RCM.
The event, “Coming in from the cold: midwives at the heart of the community,” has been arranged jointly between Yorkshire and the Humber SHA and the University of Hull. Discussions will centre on how community practitioners can support women and midwives alongside hospital needs. RCM general secretary, Cathy Warwick, will head the speaker programme.
