Following the success in Bournemouth over the last two years, Infection Prevention 2012 is set to take place at the ACC in Liverpool, from 1-3 October.
The event, which is organised by The Infection Prevention Society, offers delegates an educational and informative conference giving access to more infection prevention companies under one roof than any other event in the UK. The event usually attracts in excess of 600 delegates and over 100 exhibitors and provides an array of renowned speakers covering all infection prevention needs. Highlights of the 2012 event include the EM Cottrell Lecture, which this year will be given by Professor Judith Tanner and the Ayliffe Lecture which will be given by Professor Andreas Voss. Other highlights in the conference programme include a session looking at the global burden of healthcare-associated infections; surface coatings – a review of the evidence; infection prevention in the dock; improving quality during times of transition; an ethnographic study of infection prevention and control in a mental health trust; and E. coli – management of an international wide E. coli outbreak. The conference has been awarded 15 CPD points. Early bird prices are valid until 2 July. Delegates can register now at www.ips.uk.net.
