Coffee and arrhythmia research

Research published in the American Journal of Medicine concludes that moderate coffee consumption is well tolerated in patients with either known or suspected arrhythmia.

Evidence was reviewed relating to caffeine and arrhythmia to provide recommendations for patients experiencing arrthymia. This data builds on the British Heart Foundation’s advice that moderate amounts of caffeine (four to five cups per day) does not lead to arrhythmias or coronary heart disease and does not effect an individual’s blood pressure.
