HPV technology eliminates pathogens

BIOQUELL will be showcasing its hi-tech hydrogen peroxide vapour (HPV) whole room surface bio-decontamination equipment and services. The company’s technology has become an important tool in reducing rates of healthcare-associated infection (HCAI), targeting and eliminating threats from organisms which may be present in the patient’s environment.

Bioquell’s HPV systems have been proven to be effective against a wide range of micro-organism’s including bacterial spores, mycobacteria, vegetative bacteria (Gram -ve , Gram +ve), viruses and fungi. Its HPV technology has been shown to eliminate nosocomial pathogens from the hospital environment and reduce HCAI. The hydrogen peroxide vapour based technology has been used to combat HCAI since 2003 and has been awarded the Department of Health Rapid Review Panel’s (RRP) recommendation level 1. Following this, a five month evaluation was undertaken by the Showcase Hospital Programme (SHP), concluding that 99% of NHS professionals would recommend Bioquell’s technology.
