HAIGH has developed the latest, award-winning bedpan disposal unit in its Sluicemaster range. Tackling the increasing need for user-friendly devices on the ward, Haigh believes the Panaway, with hands-free opening and autostart sensor, directly meets the needs of infection control nurses on the ward.
Meeting the increased need for efficiency, the fast cycle time (offering disposal of up to four pulp products in 85 seconds) makes it suitable for the busiest ward. Energy efficient, it uses only 16 litres of cold water, with no need for electricity to heat the water.
Complete with the built-in antimicrobial, Bugban, it has a wipe clean exterior and allows patients to benefit from a new, clean bedpan every time with the added benefit of total peace of mind from greater infection control.
The Sluicemaster range also includes the SOLO and Classic+. The SOLO, which is extremely compact, is designed for installation in single bed wards. With a faster cycle time, along with lower water and electrical consumption the SOLO offers a solution for customers to overcome the increasing pressures of space, time and money.
The Classic+ offers good performance with proven reliability. Clad in robust stainless steel, it is small enough to fit into benching, while standing up to knocks in the busy sluice room. Benefits include efficient disposal of four pulp products in under two minutes, using only 24 litres of cold water, simple operation and micro processor control advising on system status during disposal cycle and self-diagnosis problems.
