Patient warming solution

Shivering after surgery is a common and unpleasant experience. Hypothermia increases the risk of surgical complications including infections and blood loss.

Warming patients during surgery improves both the patient’s experience and the clinical outcome, while providing a direct and measurable benefit in terms of a hospital’s performance criteria. The carbon polymer warming system from INDITHERM MEDICAL is a re-usable alternative to existing single-use warming products. Referring directly to Inditherm technology, the NICE guideline states that compared to forced warm air there is “no significant difference in core temperature for the two warming mechanisms in a direct comparison”. Inditherm carbon polymer technology is cost-effective and produces precisely controlled uniform warming. It has no disposable elements, is X-ray translucent, and is silent in operation, with very low energy consumption.
