Advances in EUS guided therapy

Endoscopic ultrasound is regarded as one of the most accurate ways of staging upper GI cancer and HITACHI’s endosonographic systems incorporate state-of-the-art “chipin- the-tip” technology – combining high definition video imaging with high resolution ultrasound imaging for increased diagnostic confidence.

The latest K-series scopes include radial, longitudinal and EBUS for endobronchial examinations with guided TBNA, offering the ideal minimally invasive staging option. In addition, real-time tissue elastography is now a proven modality in endoscopic ultrasound and can help in characterising and differentiating between benign and malignant lymph nodes with high sensitivity and specificity providing clinicians with additional valuable information complementary to conventional EUS imaging. Hitachi’s endoscopic ultrasound system offers the complete solution within one self-contained, standalone platform incorporating new features to improve clinical efficiency.
