Successful study day on low temperature sterilisation moves to Newcastle!

Top experts recently gathered at the ASP STERRAD Technology Day in Cambridge to tackle top issues in endoscope decontamination - from the challenges around the removal of biofilms, to the need for professional qualifications in endoscope decontamination.

Helen Campbell, Director of Education at IDSc, raised the question: "Why is there a perception that endoscope decontamination staff do not need levelled qualifications?" She highlighted the latest Endoscopy Training Qualifications available, the need for recognised training in the sector to ensure patient safety, and identified some of the key challenges in endoscope decontamination that need to be addressed.

Experts provided educational insights into best practice, discussed technical aspects of low temperature sterilisation, and outlined the key considerations for ENT Scope Sterilisation and Ultrasound Probe Sterilisation, as well as the latest innovation.

Following a successful ASP STERRAD Technology Day in Cambridge, the company is now counting down to its next educational day taking place on 18 February 2025 in Newcastle.

This comprehensive Study Day will further explore the latest insights into sterilisation techniques. Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your knowledge and network with professionals in the field.
