Patient trolley for rough terrain

PARAID MEDICAL has launched a stretcher and patient transfer trolley for transporting patients over rough terrain. It provides a safer, quicker and easier alternative to the traditional method of carrying patients over grass, gravel and uneven ground, eliminating the risk of back injury to patient handling crews and saving valuable time in emergencies.

The Rough Terrain Trolley is extremely robust, constructed from stainless steel with wide pneumatic-tyre castors and a patient capacity of 200 kg. It was originally made as a bespoke solution for Sheffield Children’s Hospital to transport air ambulance patients to the hospital from their helicopter landing pad that is located in a field opposite. As it was designed in consultation with patient handling professionals it is therefore extremely easy to use. Practical features have been incorporated – such as a telescopic IV pump and support pole; a fold out D/E size oxygen cylinder holder; an equipment shelf that folds away when not in use; and storage space for accessories and vital documents.
