Innovation award

Medipex, the NHS Innovation Hub for the Yorkshire and Humber region, has being crowned “Innovation Champion 2008” in an awards ceremony at Leeds.

The awards were hosted by former politician Michael Portillo who pointed to Medipex’s achievements in identifying six hundred ideas for healthcare related innovations. Medipex provides advice, support and funding to front line NHS staff to develop and evaluate their ideas at NHS Trusts, PCTs and Strategic Health Authorities.
