Implementing effective hand hygiene strategies

PDI EMEA has extensive experience in implementing patient hand hygiene strategies to support the reduction of HCAIs within clinical environments

A dedicated team of field-based representatives works in collaboration with facilities and mutually agree on a strategy to follow. This includes:

  • Identifying the programmes objectives and intended outcomes.
  •  Establishing the method which would be required to implement the agreed changes including timescales and the number of wards which would be implicated as part of the test of change.
  • Communicating the level of support PDI will provide during the test period.
  •  Determining how the facility would like the results to be presented and communicated.

Throughout the entire implementation programme, PDI provides comprehensive support bespoke to each individual facility, which may range from auditing services, in-situ and online staff training, to visual aids on correct product usage, literature, patient handouts, posters, and any other additional requests made by the healthcare establishment.

PDI’s range of Hygea hand hygiene solutions have been trusted by healthcare facilities in the UK and Internationally for decades as part of their efforts in reducing preventable infections.
