New size lubricant bottle with dropper

Following the publication of an article “Is a lubricant a contaminant or a crucial necessity for maintaining the proper operation of a surgical instrument?”, by Matthew Peskett from RUHOF, issues were raised regarding the use of lubricants – but also the usage instructions and dispensing options for the company’s own lubricant Premixslip.

To enable the customer to use the product as recommended in the article, Ruhof changed the “directions for use” labelling on its spray bottles of Premixslip and now supply a smaller 250 ml bottle with a dropper instead of a spray for use in the packing room. Ruhof recommends that all users of surgical instrument lubricants check their current lubricant is CE marked to ensure conformity during ISO audits as this is considered an accessory to a medical device.
