Partnership to deliver advanced patient monitoring

Welch Allyn, a manufacturer of medical equipment, has announced a new partnership with Sensitron – a developer of software solutions for patient monitoring.

This will provide a platform for ensuring key vital signs and clinical observations are captured and automatically transmitted to the hospital’s electronic patient record (EPR), which can help to reduce time and clinical risk. Case studies have shown that a nurse can save between 35-40 minutes per shift.

This partnership will help clinicians meet the objectives set by the Government’s Connecting for Health initiative which challenges the UK healthcare profession to place data on EPRs in order to cut costs and reduce medical errors.
