A preview of the Quality Improvement for Surgical Teams (QIST) conference and exhibition, which examines best practice and improvement initiatives, to optimise outcomes for patients.
The annual conference, Quality Improvement for Surgical Teams (QIST), will provide an insight into best practice and quality improvement, aimed at ensuring the best possible patient outcomes following surgery.
The Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s SSI Group has dramatically reduced its surgical site infection rate in orthopaedic surgery and, as part of its commitment to driving improvement and sharing best practice, the Trust now organises an annual, educational programme for surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, from across the NHS.
This year, Quality Improvement for Surgical Teams (QIST) will be taking place on Tuesday 20 October and Wednesday 21 October at The Marriott Gosforth Newcastle, with the aim of bringing together like minded professionals that care about quality and high standards. Orthopaedic surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, managers, commissioners, pharmacists and allied health professionals will have the opportunity to share their experiences, knowledge and best practice, with the aim of improving patient outcomes.
