Details of Completing the Picture 2014, the annual educational symposium for biomedical engineering and clinical procurement specialists in the UK, have been announced by Welch Allyn.
The event, which offers a recognised professional development opportunity, will take place on 9 July 2014 at The Heritage Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire. The free to attend event is designed to improve knowledge and awareness of current and future clinical issues that impact on the industry. T
he programme will cover a range of topics, including the use of medical devices to improve patient pathways and experience; the future of connected devices and device tracking, and thoughts on ways of bridging the gap between IT and clinical engineering.
Speakers at the 2014 event will include Roy Lilley, a NHS writer and commentator, who will be providing his own perspective on the future of the medical devices industry.
Supporting the event is a priority for Welch Allyn. “Specialist staff tell us how important this event is to their community and, in particular, to building their understanding of clinical issues,” said Jan McMeekin, Welch Allyn regional manager. As technological advances continue, this will become increasingly important.
