LED examination lamp

BRANDON MEDICAL has launched a new range of LED examination lights. The Coolview CLED23 examination lamp is designed to provide uncompromising lighting performance for clinicians.

It is said to be easy to manoeuvre into place, has been designed to aid infection control and has simple intuitive controls. It is suited to use for applications in dermatology, general practice, gynaecology and ICU departments.

The LED technology features changeable colour temperature settings. Warm white and daylight settings help clinicians distinguish between different tissue conditions and aids accurate diagnosis. The lamp offers 60,000 lux of intense light, providing a wide pool of light to illuminate the most intricate examinations. The intensity of the light can be altered via four selectable settings.

Coolview CLED23 also boasts good manoeuvrability. The unrestricted lamp head rotation of 360°, coupled with 1,200 mm long arm reach, allows users to position the light beam to suit any procedure without restrictive stops and twisting cables. Ceiling mounted versions also have unrestricted rotation around the ceiling mounting pole.

An anti-microbial active substance has been moulded into the lamp head to help inhibit the growth of microorganisms. This ensures the lamp is permanently resistant to cross-infection. The lamp head is designed to be fully enclosed with smooth surfaces for easy cleaning. It is sealed to IP43 against ingress of dirt and moisture.
