Effective antiviral is also kind to skin

Encouraging healthy hand hygiene behaviour is crucial to minimising the spread of infection in the health care environment. GOJO aims to provide an effective defence against viruses while maintaining skin condition with products such as its Purell Hand Sanitising Gel VF481.

Nosocomial infections increase healthcare costs, so improving hand hygiene compliance is one way to both lower costs and improve patient safety. Purell VF481 is proven to be effective against the winter vomiting bug, and other enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, meeting seven CEN norms including EN 14476. Its efficacy makes it suited to use in a wide range of healthcare environments, even in high-risk areas. Its broad spectrum antiviral formulation makes the hand sanitising gel effective against most viruses including those which traditionally have been difficult to kill with standard hand rubs and sanitisers. It is more than 99.99% effective against many viruses, reducing the number of virus particles on hands, and consequently reducing the chance of spreading infection and reducing outbreaks. GOJO recommends that a full hand hygiene regime is followed, with healthcare workers washing their hands thoroughly with liquid soap and water. Purell VF481 can then be added to provide an extra level of protection.
