A new state-of-the-art training centre has now received the go ahead and will be built at Eastwood Park in Falfield, South Gloucestershire. John Thatcher, CEO at Eastwood Park said:
“This is a significant step for those throughout the NHS, private healthcare and commercial sectors who visit us for training; for our staff and the future of our business. We are delighted that our planning application has been approved. The new centre will enable us to provide the latest facilities we need to ensure the continued high level of specialist training we deliver both in the UK and internationally.” The redevelopment of the existing site and replacement of current facilities, originally constructed in the 1930s and spread throughout the 200 acre country estate, will be replaced with one new state of the art, 2,546sq m two storey centre. It will be the only one of its kind in the world, creating simulated hospital learning environments, providing authentic surroundings crucial for practical training. Eastwood Park was established in 1969 and is renowned worldwide for its delivery of specialist accredited technical training in decontamination, medical equipment, estates and facilities management.
