20/30 LABS is a UKAS accredited laboratory specialising in decontamination services. Established in 2005 to perform microbiological analysis of water for use in automated endoscope reprocessors, the organisation has gone from strength to strength and now offers a complete and fully accredited microbiological service.
The services offered include the analysis of water for use in automated endoscope reprocessors and washer disinfectors, water for use in renal dialysis and the quality of potable water including analysis for Legionella and other microbiological contaminants. The company also offers the periodic qualification (PQ) testing of automated endoscope reprocessors (AER’s) and washer disinfectors (WD’s) and engineer training. Based in Northampton, 20/30 Labs occupies premises with a purpose-built laboratory with additional device preparation, chemical handling and sample receipt areas. In addition, an area of the premises is dedicated to research and development activities which enhance the services that are offered to the manufacturers of medical devices, including validation activities in accordance with the requirements of the Medical Device Directive.
