Current and future trends in IBD Therapeutic Drug Monitoring

Biohit Healthcare Ltd

The management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is continuing to evolve at pace, and has taken centre stage for many recent studies including the extension of the Personalised Anti-TNF therapy in Crohn's disease (PANTS). There are lots of drivers for change, but with that brings about lots of questions. In our latest webinar Rachel Nice (Section Lead for R&D/Specialist Services at Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Trust and NIHR Clinical Research Fellow) and Rebecca Smith (Gastroenterology Specialist Registrar at Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Trust and IBD Research Fellow at University of Exeter) will tackle some of those burning questions including:

  • How will the rise in small molecules impact our reliance on Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM)?
  • Where is our current understanding of TDM and immunogenicity with the use of subcutaneous infliximab?
  • How do we use TDM most effectively in the setting of escalated dosing?
