Hydrogen peroxide vapour system offers room decontamination solution

BIOQUELL’s hydrogen peroxide vapour (HPV) room bio-decontamination technology is said to offer a proven method of reducing HCAI rates in an endemic setting.

The company’s room bio-decontamination service and HPV generators have been developed to eliminate pathogens from the hospital environment – verified by inactivation of 6-log Geobacillus stearothermophilus biological indicators. Its HPV process is said to be effective against a range of nosocomial pathogens including Gram-negatives. The system also provides a rapid aeration/active HPV removal cycle to ensure that the room or zone is returned to “operational duty” as safely and as quickly as possible.
