The latest addition to the LTE range of decontamination equipment is a drying and storage cabinet designed specifically for use with flexible endoscopes.
Following reprocessing, endoscopes need to be used within four hours unless stored under the right conditions. The LTE Scope-Store is a secure storage cabinet designed to facilitate endoscope storage for up to 72 hours, without the need for reprocessing before use. Within the range up to 10 endoscopes can be stored and dried inside and out, utilising HEPA filtered air. Operator access to the cabinet is PIN-coded via a touch-screen panel. Monitor timers for each loaded scope gives visibility of elapsed storage period. Full traceability of each endoscope’s storage conditions is available, either in printed form or it can be downloaded to a PC. This information includes air flow, volume, door open times, user details and (optionally) max/min temperature and RH. There are currently three models available – a vertical hanging unit with a five or ten scope capacity and a shelf-loaded model with an eight scope capacity. Pass through models are also available.
