Decontamination issues examined

The Institute of Decontamination Services annual conference and exhibition is set to take place at the Hilton Hotel, Blackpool, 29 November to 1 December 2010. The Clinical Services Journal provides an overview of the solutions and innovations that exhibitors will be highlighting at the event, as well as the key themes to be raised during the conference programme.

This year, the IDSc conference will tackle a range of topical issues of interest throughout the threeday programme – including the setting up of endoscopy reprocessing departments, discussion over “wet or dry” instruments, and selection and application of chemical disinfectants. Aimed at all those involved in the science and technology of reprocessing reusable medical devices, irrespective of where this is undertaken, delegates will hear expert views and opinions from high profile speakers – from Dr Adam Fraise, chairman of the Hospital Infection Society, to Peter Hoffman, clinical scientist at the Health Protection Agency.
