Huntleigh has announced the signing of a major new contract with Oxford University, to become the sole distributor of the Dawes/Redman fetal monitor trace (CTG) analysis software, with exclusive worldwide distribution rights.
The CTG analysis software has been developed over the last 30 years by the Oxford University team, based on the world’s largest CTG database in the world. A powerful algorithm has been developed based on the knowledge embodied in this massive database of traces, together with outcomes. It addresses the problems associated with the traditional approach to CTG interpretation, a highly subjective and opinion based process, which can result in differences of opinion, even among experts. This may lead to misinterpretation, failures in effective communication and inappropriate action, with resultant impact on outcomes. The Dawes/Redman CTG analysis software replaces this with a robust, objective and numeric analysis of traces with significant potential to improve standards of care and outcomes.
