Marlux Medical, a supplier of disposable hospital curtains, prides itself in keeping ahead of the rapidly changing requirements with regards to infection prevention. At the recent Infection Prevention Conference held on the 21st – 23rd September at Harrogate Conference Centre, Marlux discussed in depth issues with experts who are involved in reducing HCAIs.
UK Sales Manager, David Boden, commented: “This exhibition was a fantastic event for Marlux – we were able to meet face to face with experts in the field of infection control. The response to the disposable curtains has been tremendous, demonstrating that the products clearly meet the needs of healthcare professionals who are concerned about patient welfare, but are mindful of their budgets. When a new patient is admitted into hospital they are given a change of bedding, a disinfected mattress and a cleaned bedside table, yet the conventional curtains are often not regularly changed, as this is a timely and costly procedure. Benefits of disposable curtains often outweigh the benefits of laundered curtains and this is something that healthcare professionals are now starting to recognise.”
