NORDIC SURGICAL is currently working with AfPP members in 13 parts of the country, running trials of the inovative Hot Dog patient warming system.
Visitors to the stand will be able to see examples of the warming blankets and learn more about the technology. “Patient warming is important for a number of reasons but essential in reducing the risk of surgical site infections,” said Steve Hammant-Stacey, managing director of Nordic Surgical. He added that the new system warms quietly, efficiently and makes considerable cost savings – without the noise associated with forced-air systems. “The savings achieved can total many thousands of pounds for most hospitals, over the course of a year, and we will also be demonstrating this,” he commented.
