Training to improve HCAI prevention

International training centre, EASTWOOD PARK – which specialises in healthcare, engineering and facilities management training – will be promoting its extensive and fast-growing decontamination and infection control training portfolio, including its latest decontamination lead course.

This course is devised to meet the needs of those undertaking operational responsibility for decontamination within the Trust, including those with responsibility at board level. Delegates will gain an understanding of all types of decontamination equipment; operational and testing practices; as well as the need for audit and quality systems. Such knowledge will assist delegates’ skills in planning and reporting on all decontamination operations and strategic planning at board level. Sue Peckham, Eastwood Park’s training manager responsible for the decontamination and infection control portfolio, commented: “At the core of infection control is a sound understanding and implementation of the decontamination process. Our training and staff development programmes are designed to improve both knowledge and skills at all levels, working towards improving standards of infection prevention across the workplace.”
