Non-invasive continuous haemoglobin monitor

MASIMO, the inventor of Pulse CO-Oximetry and Measure-Through Motion and Low-Perfusion pulse oximetry, has released non-invasive and continuous haemoglobin (SpHb) monitoring technology.

has received FDA 510(k) clearance and is already transforming the way haemoglobin testing is performed at over 40 hospitals in the US, Europe, Asia, and Africa. The availability of non-invasive, continuous, and immediate haemoglobin measurements is expected to have wide ranging clinical impact, from surgery and intensive care, to other care settings – including the emergency department and long-term care facilities, by facilitating prompt detection of internal bleeding and more appropriate administration of blood transfusions.
