London-based healthtech Hexarad named as one of the UK’s most high-impact tech scaleups

London-based health technology company Hexarad was announced as one of the UK’s most exciting tech scale-ups by Prime Minister Keir Starmer at an event at 10 Downing Street on 7 May 2025.

The Tech Nation Future Fifty is a prestigious programme designed to fuel the growth of the UK’s most ambitious late-stage tech ventures. Hexarad is the only dedicated healthcare technology company in this Future Fifty cohort.

Hexarad is a healthcare technology company looking to transform radiology with its AI-driven technology platform that’s focused on increasing efficiency, reducing the administrative burden on clinicians, and cutting down outsourcing costs. Having worked in the NHS as radiologists themselves, Hexarad’s leadership saw that there is a huge unmet need for technology to improve productivity and help staff cope with the demand for radiology services.

Hexarad’s CEO Dr Farzana Rahman said: “Joining the Future Fifty cohort cements Hexarad's place as one of the UK's leading growth-stage companies and is a testament to the transformative technology platform we have built. I am excited to explore the opportunities that being part of this programme will give us, especially as we look to expand our impact across the NHS and into international markets.”

Tech Nation has invited 25 high-growth, high-potential tech scaleups across sectors including AI, ClimateTech and FinTech to take part in the latest three-month Future Fifty programme which supports senior leadership teams by building networks of peers and mentors and facilitating  international expansion.

Future Fifty alumni form the UK’s most prominent network of high-growth scaleups, counting 30% of the country’s unicorns amongst its ranks. Since the programme’s relaunch in March 2024, Future Fifty has built substantial momentum, equipping 50 ambitious scaleups with the practical insights and connections required for their next growth phase, and leading high-profile international missions to Singapore, New York, and Dubai to connect cohort founders with leading investors, CEOs, and government officials.

Future Fifty is backed by corporate partners including HSBC Innovation Banking (Founding Partner), Evelyn Partners, S&W, EY, and Capsule Insurance.
