MELA SOLUTIONS, a leading specialist medical software company, has announced the release of a new clinical management system, MedICUs for tissue viability.
The program aids the collection of data about patients who have been cared for by the tissue viability team and assists in analysis of the effectiveness of the care. The system, which is easily customised, includes sections for patient diagnosis, assessment, treatment and outcome. There are extensive features to audit the team’s performance: data can be tagged, selected, sorted and analysed to produce reports and graphs for clinical audit and research purposes. The system runs on a PC or across a network as a multi-user version. It also operates on iPAQs to provide hand-held data collection at the bedside or in the community. The iPAQs are then synchronised with the desktop to upload the data.
