Self-adjusting pressure technology

HILL-ROM, a leading global provider of solutions for the patient care environment, has launched the P330 Wound Surface.

The new Hill-Rom P330 Wound Surface addresses all key issues related to pressure ulcer prevention and treatment. Requiring no external control unit, its silent, compact and lightweight therapy surface with integral one-action CPR is extremely easy to use and transport. Moreover, its low power consumption makes the P330 an environmentally friendly product. It incorporates Self-Adjusting Alternating Low Pressure (SAALP) sensing technology which automatically adjusts the pressure cycle to suit each patient’s morphology, size, weight, shape or position. Built on a 5 cm deep protective foam base, the multi-cell construction of the P330 Wound Surface features 20 separate cells: eight devoted to the sacrum in alternating low pressure, three to the leg zone, and nine to the torso/head zone in continuous low pressure. With its 45 cm long, 5° sloped heel zone, manufactured in highly conformable, soft and durable protective foam, it offers highly effective support for the heels.
