The Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) has announced the eighth cohort of its flagship US Accelerator programme, with 21 medical device, diagnostics, and digital health companies ready to access the US healthcare market.
Officially launched at a two-day bootcamp in London ahead of their mission to New Jersey and Philadelphia, the companies will take part in the accelerator programme to help scale their business in the US.
By leveraging ABHI’s extensive network of hospital systems, life science communities, and mentors, companies can refine their US strategy, mitigate market entry risks, and expand their operations. They will also take part in four trade missions to key life sciences states in the US and gain access to facilities and faculty support at the Dell Medical School in Austin.
The 2025 ABHI US Accelerator cohort includes:
- Adaptix: 3D imaging technologies that are safer, more compact, and affordable than traditional radiology systems.
- Aide Health: A digital chronic disease management platform that helps Medicare Advantage plans improve medication adherence, reduce hospitalisations, and enhance CMS Star Ratings.
- Cirdan: Digital health informatics and specimen imaging solutions, dedicated to improving patient diagnostics and healthcare outcomes.
- Cydar: AI & cloud-enabled imaging solutions - its core product, Cydar Maps, supports more effective image guided minimally invasive endovascular surgery.
- Directed Systems: Advancing cardiovascular care with DS Aware, a real-time decision support platform designed for surgical and critical care settings.
- Haigh: Advanced infection prevention technology, dedicated to enhancing patient safety and operational efficiency in healthcare environments.
- Kidney Beam: Step-by-step online programmes, exercise sessions, education, and wellbeing support tailored especially for people with kidney conditions.
- Medwise AI: An AI platform that reduces administrative burden for healthcare professionals through workflow automation.
- MEGI Health: Their solution, Megi-Mum, is a digital health assistant focused on improving maternal health by predicting and managing hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.
- Manus Neurodynamica: NeuroMotor Pen aids clinician understanding of complex and subtle motor symptoms that cannot be easily observed and interpreted with the naked eye.
- Mizaic: Transforming all forms of unstructured digital patient data. Their application, MediViewer, reads and extracts the value from all types of clinical documentation and media.
- Neurex: A provider’s tool that uses AI to simplify administrative drudgery, automate revenue cycle management and enhance patient engagement.
- Newton’s Tree: Vendor-neutral AI platform for hospitals to procure, integrate, and monitor AI.
- OPCI: Clinical intelligence software that aims to optimise the delivery of ambulatory care.
- Opto: Delivers safer, faster, lower cost digital triage at Emergency Departments globally.
- Oxehealth: AI-powered patient monitoring platform for mental/behavioural health facilities.
- PrescQIPP CIC: Helps healthcare organisations to improve medicine-related care to patients, through evidence-based resources, training and networks.
- Psyomics: A platform designed to capture comprehensive patient information, supporting intake, triage, and assessment within adult mental and behavioral health services.
- Salutare: Write software so that patients don't get lost in the healthcare system.
- Seating Matters: Chairs that meet the needs of patients with complex needs and pressure injuries.
- VitVio: Leveraging AI and computer vision to make operating rooms more efficient with less administrative burden.
This cohort joins a legacy of 150 US Accelerator alumni including Skin Analytics, Peppy, Radar Healthcare, Inicio Health, Lumeon and Ufonia.
Impact of the Accelerator
The ABHI US Accelerator has generated significant results, with over $150 million in business won by participating companies. On average, companies expect to generate more than $15 million in business over five years due to their involvement in the programme.
Satisfaction among participants is high, with 100% recommending the programme and achieving their objectives. The ABHI US Accelerator has also facilitated over 70 clinical trials or pilot studies across 12 US states and supported high-level transatlantic health system engagements.
The ABHI US Accelerator has also promoted inward investment, bringing over 15 US-based companies to the UK to engage with NHS hospitals.
