The King’s Fund’s Director of Policy, Sally Warren, has announced she will be leaving the organisation to start a new senior role at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). Sally will be leading development of the ten-year health plan and working closely across both DHSC and NHS England.
Sally joined The King’s Fund in 2019 and has led the organisation’s Policy, Events and Partnerships Directorate. She takes up her new post at the Department of Health and Social Care from this week.
Commenting on Sally’s new role, Chief Executive of The King’s Fund, Sarah Woolnough, said: “All of us at The King’s Fund offer huge congratulations to Sally for securing such an important role at a critical time for health and care in this country.
“In her time with us at The King’s Fund, Sally has brought a wealth of knowledge and influence which has helped to inform the national debate; we look forward to continuing to work together as she now moves into government to support the new administration to deliver its policy agenda.
“I am delighted to announce that Chief Analyst Siva Anandaciva and Assistant Director of Policy Alex Baylis will step up as our Interim Co-Directors of Policy whilst we begin our work to recruit our new permanent Director.”

Planning for the recruitment of a permanent Director of Policy at The King’s Fund has begun and details will be announced shortly.
