MedTech manufacturer wins Medilink Midlands Award

Medical device manufacturer, Pennine Healthcare, has achieved recognition for sustainability, at the Medilink Midlands Awards 2024.

Held at the prestigious Athena in Leicester on 9 May, the Business Awards 2024 were Medilink Midlands’ most spectacular awards event to date and brought together over 200 guests from across the life sciences and medtech sectors in the Midlands.

Pennine Healthcare walked away as winners of the ‘Sustainability’ award, beating stiff competition from within the Medtech arena.

The award recognises Pennine Healthcare’s commitment to addressing the net zero and sustainability challenges affecting the NHS and the wider medtech community.

Dan Wilson, Head of Marketing and Communications, commented, “As an employee-owned trust, with a purpose statement that is embedded throughout the organisation, we work very hard to ensure we are: ‘Protecting Life. Empowering Colleagues. Enriching Communities’. Being recognised for our sustainability efforts, so early in our journey, is a testament to all our colleagues, and we are proud to once again be acknowledged for our award-winning efforts.”

Melanie Davidson, Chief Executive of Medilink Midlands, says: “It was fantastic to celebrate the incredible innovations and achievements of life sciences businesses in the region at our special awards event marking Medilink Midlands’ 20th anniversary. The calibre of entrants this year has been outstanding and has demonstrated the true breadth and depth of the region’s capabilities across all areas of health, medtech, and life sciences.”
