Surgeons operate on wrong patient

An investigation is under way at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, after surgeons operated on the wrong patient.

A patient admitted for an investigative gynaecological procedure was taken to an operating theatre, where her gall bladder was mistakenly removed by keyhole surgery instead.
