CHEC has announced the opening of two cutting-edge hospitals dedicated to providing ophthalmology and endoscopy services to patients within the NHS network.
The new hospitals will support in alleviating the ongoing pressure on NHS services, with ophthalmology facing the second highest backlogs nationwide. In Milton Keynes, ophthalmology waiting times for treatments have been estimated at 32 weeks, while the average waiting period in Ilford is 14 weeks.
