This year, British clinical equipment producer, Anetic Aid, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. With its commitment to good design and high-quality manufacture, the company has long been a supporter of the AfPP – working closely with many of its members to inform product development over the years.
The QA4 Mobile Surgery System is the perfect example of this, offering powered positioning features which mean less moving and handling risk for patients and practitioners alike, while providing excellent surgical access and versatility. The stretcher can be fitted with a wide range of traditional operating table accessories, making it ideal for High Volume Low Complexity (HVLC) procedures as varied as ophthalmics, general surgery, (including laparoscopic procedures such as cholecystectomy – gall bladder removal) and orthopaedics – including hip replacement.
Anetic Aid has also designed a compact, mobile accessory stand, specially built to keep a busy theatre environment tidy and uncluttered.
Another key item of equipment in the operating theatre is the tourniquet. Anetic Aid’s stand-alone electronic AT4 system is offered with accessories including a full range of tourniquet cuffs from paediatric sizes, to double cuffs for Bier’s block procedures.
