Eakin Healthcare Surgical launches new identity

Cardiff based Eakin Healthcare Surgical, part of the Eakin Healthcare Group, has unveiled a new brand identity as part of its gradual transition to the Eakin Healthcare branding.

Over the last couple of months, Eakin Healthcare Surgical has introduced a gradual transition, with the new identity reflecting the group’s vision and values at its core.

Jon Blastland, Surgical’s Commercial Director, said: “We are excited to share our new branding as Eakin Healthcare’s Surgical therapy area. We continue to distribute our pioneering single-use surgical instruments products to over 30 countries worldwide, and with a focus on expanding our global reach, we look forward to meeting and building relationships with new distributors and partners through the brand transition to Eakin Healthcare.”

Years of consultation with hospitals and clinicians has led to Eakin Healthcare’s Surgical team developing one of the most comprehensive ranges of single use suction tubes. Each instrument has been designed to match the high quality, ease of use and functionality of the reusable equivalent, but are guaranteed clean and sterile and deliver cost and efficiency savings.

The company’s mission is to enable safer operations and improved patient outcomes through the provision of high-quality surgical solutions. Today, the company continues to work closely with healthcare professionals to identify where products can be improved and bring to market innovative solutions that offer surgical teams the reliable, practical and flexible tools that they rely on.

Eakin Healthcare’s Surgical therapy area was founded over twenty years ago in response to the challenges faced cleaning surgical instruments. Hospitals identified that difficulty cleaning surgical fine lumen suction tubes meant a high risk of patient-to-patient cross-infection.

Eakin Healthcare’s Surgical team manufactures high-quality single use surgical instruments that are sold worldwide. Their solutions have been designed in response to the growing concerns over the cleaning of reusable fine lumen instruments – which are associated with high risks of patient-to-patient cross-infection.

With a manufacturing facility based in Cardiff, South Wales, the company has a clean room and ethylene oxide sterilisation facilities and is also supported by an experienced technical and R&D team. Eakin Healthcare’s Surgical international network of distributors is also expanding, currently exporting to 30 different territories globally.

Jon added: “These relationships extend across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. As we move forward with developing our international partners, we have identified several key markets including Latin America, Brazil, and the Far East. We also work closely with the Welsh Government in their export market promoting our products worldwide at prestigious exhibitions such as Medica & Arab Health.”

Eakin Healthcare is a family-owned business and in addition to its Surgical division, manufactures and supplies medical devices for ostomy, wound and respiratory needs. The Ostomy division manufactures and supplies high quality ostomy pouches and skin friendly accessories to hospitals and end users in the community in more than 30 countries. Their award-winning discreet home delivery and nursing services, Respond, operates throughout the UK. The Respiratory division manufactures innovative products for use in anaesthesia, respiratory and critical care.
