CSJ spoke to ABHI’s head of international events, Michelle Michelucci, about this year’s action-packed programme and why the show continues to provide such an influential platform for showcasing the best of what the UK has to offer on the global stage.

The healthcare sector in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, particularly in the UAE, has experienced tremendous growth over the past decade – and remains one of the region’s fastest-growing industries. According to the latest projections, healthcare spending when it comes to the UAE will reach $2.5 billion in 2025 and $3.6 billion by 2030.1 This rapid growth is being driven by an increasing prevalence of lifestyles diseases, an ageing population, along with the nation’s ambition to become a regional medical tourism hub. The creation of a world-class healthcare infrastructure also remains a clear priority for the Government of the UAE and increases in healthcare spending from both private and governmental sources have acted as key drivers of growth within the region’s healthcare market. Against this rapidly expanding landscape, there are many opportunities for UK collaboration in fast-growing areas like HealthTech and the broader life sciences

Arab Health, the region’s leading healthcare conference and exhibition held annually in Dubai, continues to offer a dynamic platform for ideas, innovation, partnerships and collaboration. Bringing the global healthcare community together to discover the way forward through sustainable and innovative solutions that can tackle our most important challenges and revolutionise healthcare for future generations
