The first round of judging in the 2023 Medilink NOE Healthcare Business Awards has been completed and the Medtech companies that submitted entries have now learned if they have made the shortlist for their category.
The Medilink awards are a regular and much anticipated feature of the medtech calendar and demonstrate successful collaborations between industry, academia and the NHS. Each year entries are received from a diverse range of organisations, from suppliers of digital healthcare technology, through pharmaceutical development services to health science networks.
Tom Elliott, Medilink North of England MD, commented ‘The standard of entry was extremely high and demonstrates the exceptional levels of innovation and creativity that exist in our region. The awards are an opportunity for these innovators to present their achievements to a wider audience and gain well-deserved recognition and appreciation of their accomplishments.’
The nine categories of award include innovation, recognising inventive technology, design and or processes; export achievement; advances in digital healthcare which improve existing or create new methods of healthcare delivery; partnerships with academia, celebrating the alliance of a business and academic institute in healthcare delivery; and sustainability which is awarded for commitment to driving positive change in corporate and social sustainability.
Partnerships with the NHS Awards fall into two categories: acute and primary care. These are awarded for development of a partnership in collaboration with industry and or the NHS which has delivered a major benefit.
Promising new companies are recognised in the start-up award and outstanding achievement by the award of the same name. All submissions will automatically be considered for the judges’ ‘One to Watch’ prize.
The winners will be announced at the awards evening held at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on 23 March. Tickets for the event are still available and can be obtained from Awards - Medilink.
