Superabsorbent floor mat for theatres

Cairn Technology will be exhibiting a wide range of its cutting-edge products and services at the Future Surgery Show 2022, taking place on 15-16 November 2022 at ExCeL in London.

The company will be highlighting its superabsorbent T-Mat floor mat – designed for use on operating theatre floors. The solution can lock in up to 8 litres of water or 3.5 litres of saline, turning it rapidly into gel for quick and easy disposal in clinical waste.

By avoiding drips and reducing the risk of cross-contamination, the T-Mat is the product of choice for may NHS and private hospitals looking to optimise turnaround times and enhance patient safety.

Other mat types on show will include the DryMax Sterile mat which can be placed directly against the patient in burns units; the larger anti-slip DryMax XL floor mat, which is ideal for scrub rooms; and the DryMax Combimat that combines superabsorbent and stand-on areas, making it ideal for wet procedures such as shoulder arthroscopies.

As the UK distributor for Stille surgical instruments, Cairn will also be exhibiting these top-quality instruments for a wide range of surgical disciplines including cardiac, orthopaedic and reconstructive surgery. Coming with a 30-year warranty, Stille products are handcrafted through 70 stages using high quality steel, for outstanding precision, handling and durability.
