Low-cost patient warming

The prevention of perioperative hypothermia has now been addressed by new NICE guidelines. Amid concerns that only a minority of patients are presently actively warmed, any increase in the use of the existing disposable systems in response will have a substantial impact on theatre budgets. However, a proven system which utilises the latest technology – a patented flexible carbon polymer – is already available to warm every patient, and will reduce costs.

INDITHERM MEDICAL’s Alpha system uses the carbon polymer’s high thermal transfer characteristics to produce a completely uniform warming effect. The system is totally re-usable with none of the disposables costs otherwise associated with warm air systems.

Inditherm Alpha systems are X-ray translucent, and operate at low-voltage with digital temperature control and independent thermal cut outs for complete patient and operator safety.
