“The future of surgery is extremely exciting and our dedicated educational subsidiary of the business – Aesculap Academia – is testament to this. We operate one of the leading medical forums for everyone who is professionally, passionately and ambitiously committed to people‘s health. The courses offer participants an inspiring environment to learn, allow knowledge transfer and deliver training that is adapted to real life experiences.”
The Association of Surgeons in Training is an independent professional body that works to promote the highest standards in surgical training. It is one of the largest surgical speciality associations in the UK with around 3,500 members who come from all ten surgical specialities.
ASiT serves the needs of trainees beyond its formal membership through training courses, and trainee grants, prizes and fellowships. Around 1,500 delegates are expected to attend the Annual Conference in Aberdeen between March 4-6 for educational courses, scientific presentations (with over 1000 abstract submissions received), lectures and topical debate on all aspects of surgery and surgical training.
