Self-retaining surgical retractors approved by NHS Supply Chain

JUNE MEDICAL has announced that the Galaxy II self-retaining surgical retractors are now available through the NHS Supply Chain, making them more accessible to surgeons across England and Wales

The award-winning ring retractors have been vetted and approved for sale in the NHS eDirect catalogue, so that they can be easily sourced and supplied directly to the operating theatres of NHS Trust members.

The medical device company has become known for its game changing surgical equipment which is improving visualisation in surgeries across the world. Its lightweight self-retaining ring retractors feature a Cam lock system to allow singlehanded adjustments and remove the reliance on surgical assistants, transforming the way in which surgeons work. Multiple frames and hooks are available – from sharp to semi-blunt and blunt – to suit a range of procedures, including gynaecology, urology and colorectal, which will all feature on the NHS Supply Chain going forward.
