Ensuring fast turnaround times for decontaminated endoscopes is crucial to ensuring the efficient recovery of diagnostics and treatments in the wake of the pandemic. The Royal Derby Hospital’s endoscopy unit is among the first to return to its pre-COVID waiting list baseline – at the heart of this impressive achievement has been the dedication of the decontamination, nursing and endoscopy staff, supported by the installation of the latest state-of-the-art equipment.
