Endoscope washer-disinfectors from Wassenburg have helped the Royal Derby Hospital to continue to ensure the highest standards of patient safety, while increasing efficiency and capacity – supporting the endoscopy unit to successfully tackle its cancer screening backlog, in the wake of the pandemic. Ensuring fast turnaround times for decontaminated endoscopes is crucial to ensuring the efficient recovery of diagnostics and treatments in the wake of the pandemic. The Royal Derby Hospital’s endoscopy unit is among the first to return to its pre-COVID waiting list baseline – at the heart of this impressive achievement has been the dedication of the decontamination, nursing and endoscopy staff, supported by the installation of the latest state-of-the-art equipment.
