EBME Expo Medical Equipment Exhibition/Conference 30th June - 1st July

The EBME chairman, Dr John Sandham, describes what to expect at the 2021 EBME Expo. This is an independent educational event bringing together healthcare professionals that are responsible for the management of medical equipment.

The aim of the Expo is to impart best practice for Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), especially with regard to raising awareness of how improved management of healthcare technology and connectivity can lead to better NHS productivity and lower healthcare costs. Ultimately, it is hoped that the knowledge shared will lead to advances in best practice, enhancing patient safety and helping hospitals to deliver against their budgets. The Expo is being operated in accordance with the latest covid guidelines.

At this year’s 2021 Expo, we have the privilege of welcoming speakers who will introduce new knowledge in areas such as:

The role of the MHRA, Innovations in clinical surveillance technology, point of care testing, infusion data connectivity, Human factors training, and reducing the environmental and financial costs of anaesthesia on day one.

On day two; how to develop a large clinical engineering department, resilience planning in an emergency, reforming clinical engineering, medical device regulations, managing assets to deliver major savings, the role of the medical devices safety office, safe and secure software development for medical devices, and design tips for creating a ‘lean’ workshop.

90+ Exhibitors

This is our largest independent exhibition to date, with over 90 medical equipment exhibitors alongside the conference programme, showcasing their latest innovations in healthcare technology and services, plus five free educational workshops. A preview of the exhibition is included in this latest issue of CSJ. Sponsorship from the exhibitors enables the Expo to be offered free of charge to registered conference delegates.

  • Free to attend workshops are available from Phillips, Fuji-Film/Sonosite, ECRI, BD, Zoll and Olympus.
