Table suits surgeons and anaesthetists

The new Gynaemaxx table from MAQUET offers significant advantages for both surgeons, anaesthetists and their patients. It can be purchased as new or retrofitted to existing Alphamaxx tables.

This latest table is particularly useful for patients in the lithotomy or Lloyd Davies positions. They can be placed in the correct lower position for the surgeon, while the head remains on the head rest for the anaesthetist. Therefore, it avoids having to slide an unconscious patient down the table. This will appeal to anaesthetists, who complain when the patient’s head, and more importantly their airway, is pulled away from their working area.

Surgeons who have used the table are also pleased with the longitudinal movement available and the fact that it can withstand extreme loads up to 450 kg in every configuration. Patient comfort, through the use of 80 mm padding, is also an important design consideration.

The new table can be used in association with lithotomy poles, Lloyd Davies stirrups, direct placement stirrups or integral Maquetmatics. Gynaemaxx remains a universal table. With the back section in place, it is still ideal for all types of surgery.
