From improving safety in theatres through checklists, to the latest research on protein removal on surgical instruments, the National Performance Advisory Group’s conference on Theatres and Decontamination will aim to drive improvement. This year’s event will focus on efficiency and safe practice in the workplace.
There is increasing recognition of the need for theatres and decontamination teams to work in partnership to improve the safety and quality of care for patients. With the aim of creating networking opportunities and providing shared educational insights across these areas, the National Performance Advisory Group (NPAG) is hosting its Theatres & Decontamination Conference on Thursday 5 March 2020, at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. This year, the focus will be “Efficiency and safe practice in the workplace”. The conference agenda has been created by Theatre managers and decontamination leads and provides exciting opportunities to learn and develop.
NPAG was originally established and funded by the Department of Health, in 1983, to provide advice and guidance. Over the years, NPAG has grown to become a nationally-recognised provider of services to healthcare across the country, including:
The organisation’s prime purpose is to provide consultancy services and other support to NHS and public sector managers in the continuous improvement of their services and this focus on improvement will be a key theme throughout the latest Theatres and Decontamination Conference.
