Watford-based GAMA Healthcare has been named ‘Large Business of the Year’ for the second year running in the annual Hertfordshire Business Awards.
GAMA was also a finalist for the ‘Business Growth Award’. These achievements build on GAMA’s other successes including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade ‘last year and being in the ‘Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200’ earlier this year.
GAMA invests heavily in R&D and has opened the new Fellow’s Research Centre in Halifax. The company has developed a range of new products including RediRoom, Drain Disinfectant and Hexi Cath. RediRoom is aimed at alleviating the shortage of rooms currently available within the NHS. It is a temporary room that can be set up and taken down in a short space of time. However, it also operates functionally as a treatment room. The company's Drain Disinfectant provides an effective way to kill bacteria found in hospital sinks and showers, while Hexi Cath is an improved sterilization wipe designed to be applied before the use of needles.
