The latest research, science and innovations in the challenge of managing sepsis will be on offer to visitors to the Sepsis+ 2019 conference. The Clinical Services Journal takes a look at what is on offer for delegates.
The Sepsis+ event, which takes place on 11 June 2019 at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham, is designed to provide information for visitors such as sepsis leads, sepsis nurse specialists, ward managers and infection prevention managers.
A range of top level experts will discuss the prevention of problems before they become unmanageable, and leading edge scientific advances in equipment and devices will be available for visitors to explore in the exhibition hall.
The UK sees at least 260,000 cases of sepsis annually – over 100,000 more than initial projections. Dr Ron Daniels BEM, chief executive of the UK Sepsis Trust, who is speaking at the conference, wants the Government to commit to a ‘sepsis registry’ in an effort to tackle the condition.
